GameSalad download failed?

Hi, I'm on a Windows 8 and my computer meets the requirements for running GameSalad.
I made an account and tried to download it, but I always get this error message right away:

Any help would be appreciated.

Tell Support because they may not see it here. They are on the bottom of the right hand menu.
Try to download an earlier version.
This issue is often due to overly aggressive virus scanning programs. Since the launcher downloads some data the heuristic based scanners may flag this as suspicious activity. We actively try and work with the various virus scanner developers to stay on their white lists, but there are a lot of different products out there so we sometimes don't know there's an issue until someone reports it.
Your best bet is to contact support using the question mark at the lower right and they should be able to help you work through the issue.
